Judge Myles, 66, worked at the Leighton Criminal Courthouse, Cook County's main criminal courthouse at 26th and California. Police said Associate Judge Raymond Myles was fatally shot early this morning. He had been involved in several high-profile cases, including hearings involving suspects in the 1992 massacre of seven people at the Palatine Brown's Chicken Restaurant, and involving the suspect in the murder of three members of singer Jennifer Hudson's family in 2008. A single body was removed by the coroner shortly after 6 a.m. Police believe that multiple people fired shots. Authorities asked anyone with information on the shooting to come forward.
