While Apple hasn't shared any release notes about what's new in this new beta build, the good news is that we're approaching the moment when the company should sign off iOS 14 and ship the GM build to users. Social media company Facebook has announced that its integration with the Oculus VR products is imminent. Besides, old non-linked Oculus headsets will still work. As long as we do not opt for the multiplayer and friends' functions, you don't need a Facebook account. According to The Verge , there is a colossal failure of file uploads across Google's services. Later, it was fixed but we could not attach files. In addition, in some cases, it becomes even hard to send an email. If we go by the Downdetector data, it appears that this issue is a global one. The Down Detector portal that tracks outages showed 62 percent people facing problems with attachments and 25 percent reporting issues with log-ins. (more...)

While these are obviously hyperbolic responses to a worrying move, they show just how deeply the userbase's dislike for Facebook runs. If you're using older hardware and don't want to make the jump to Facebook in 2023, that'll be fine. (more...)

Many users are facing, or are likely to face, problems while trying to attach or access files. Google has also confirmed the service interruption . Much of this is the standard point that the United States is acting belligerently and with insufficient justification, but the accusations of ignoring the principles of due process and the free market cut close to the bone.
