New Details About Google's AirDrop-Like Technology 'Nearby Share' Revealed

According to a recent discovery shared by Dinsan Francis of ChromeStory, the feature has already been implemented in the Canary version of Google Chrome , which means it's now in a rather advanced testing phase. But it looks like this feature is supposed to work on other platforms as well as per a new report by 9to5Google. They'll remain on the NBA Campus until the end of the season. The NBA and the NBA players association each issued statements saying they are monitoring the rising number of cases within the state. Teams can bring up to 35 people as part of the basketball operations group, which includes players, a senior executive, an athletic trainer, a strength and conditioning coach, an equipment manager and security. However, the iPhone's home screen interface has scarcely changed in all that time, until now. Similar to the existing feature in WhatsApp, users will be able to reply to specific messages in a conversation thread in iOS 14 . It's not clear if this feature will be limited to select areas, countries or will have a wide rollout, and it does not appear to be implemented in the initial iOS 14 beta as an examination of the Maps app with various routes did not display icons for traffic cameras. Microsoft is killing its Twitch competitor Mixer next month and is partnering with Facebook to push its users towards the Facebook Gaming service. Apple today debuted iOS and iPadOS 14, and though not mentioned on stage, the company is quietly introducing a new Find My Network Accessory Program. And the Mac seemed to run everything from Word and Excel to PowerPoint smoothly. The Mac isn't the only piece of hardware Apple is said to be shaking things up with; a pair of high-end, over-ear headphones are on the way too, supposedly. (more...)

As spotted by app reverse engineer Jane Manchun Wong, Maps will offer more route options to connect with public transit . Once users enable the 'feature, ' they will be able to view accurate ride fares immediately within Google Maps. While you've always been able to choose what manner of transport you want to take, Google's recognising that for many people there could be two legs to a journey. (more...)

Led by Mike Rockwell, Apple's AR and VR team, which now consists of over 1,000 staff, originally wanted to make an ultra-high-powered headset with previously unheard of graphical and processing performance. Making the experience more realistic is a cinematic speaker system, according to people who have tried out prototypes of the device. It's being reported that the N301 resembles the Oculus Quest complete with a mostly fabric body. (more...)

These new models are reported to arrive in the fourth quarter of 2020 or early 2021, however Apple is expected to announce the first ARM processor at WWDC . The first MacBook with a mini-LED display will also launch in the first half of 2021. Previous reports have pointed to Apple releasing ARM-based Macs in early 2021. (more...)
