In addition to being the first of the year, they're also some of the best, according to NASA, thanks to coming in swiftly (at a rate of 60 to 200 meteors per hour), and because they are bright fireballs that often come colourful trails. Atul Bhat of Poornaprajna Amateur Astronomers' Club said the Quadrantids show will have a projected rate of 100 plus meteors per hour at its peak. Fire spheres are light and bursting of color and last longer than regular meteor lines. according to Meteor International Organization , The peak is expected to occur around 14:30 UTC on Sunday - which means the best chance to witness the shower in North America will be at the dawn hours of Sunday morning. Federal regulators have ordered that all air travelers to the United States from Britain must now test negative for COVID-19 no more than 72 hours before the flight. Dozens of countries have since barred flights from the UK. Delta's policy, expanded from its decision on Monday to require the screenings on UK flights to New York's JFK Airport, is effective December 24, while United's requirement begins December 28. That's according to NASA , who says that what has become known popularly as the "Christmas Star" is an especially vibrant planetary conjunction easily visible in the evening sky, culminating tonight. Thirteen years later, in 1623, the solar system's two giant planets, Jupiter and Saturn, traveled together across the sky. Named Zhùr, meaning "wolf" in the Hän language of the local Yukon First Nation community, it was found in a state of exceptional preservation, from the papillae on her lips to her skin and fur. The study, published in the journal Current Biology , reveals more about the Yukon environment 57,000 years ago.
