In a recent study published in the journal Genes , a team of scientists from Hungary has detailed how they were able to breed the American paddlefish and Russian sturgeon . While the caviar that will come from sturgeons is a delicacy, the fish by themselves are exceedingly uncommon in Russian waters. There's a high-resolution camera known as the Emirates eXploration Imager, a UV imager known as the Emirates Mars Ultraviolet Spectrometer, and a scanning infrared imager dubbed the Emirates Mars InfraRed Spectrometer. The Emirates Mars Mission cost $200 million, according to Al-Amiri, and involved collaboration with American universities. The unmanned probe is carrying instruments that will allow it to study the upper atmosphere and gather information about climate change on Mars. (more...)
