The MEV-1 so-called "rescue tug" will take some 3 months to get to a position where it will itself capture Intelsat 901 and then - if all goes according to plan - replace I-901 into a conventional geostationary orbit. A terrifying species - known as the snakehead fish (yes, it's as scary looking as it sounds) - has Georgia fishermen on high alert, and they've been ordered to KILL ON SIGHT! Ed Bettross a Fisheries Biologist at the Wildlife Resources Division of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources (DNR) says that the species first came to the USA in the late 1990s and early 2000s. NASA's first all-female spacewalk includes a MI native. The spacewalk lasted 7 hours and one minute. According to NASA , veteran spacewalkers Christina Koch and Andrew Morgan exited the station's Quest airlock in their US spacesuits on Sunday, 5 PM IST for a six-and-a-half hour spacewalk during which, they installed new lithium-ion batteries on Port-6 truss structure which is an attachment point of the solar arrays. Earlier, Aleph Farms successfully produced a steak strip on earth in December, which took two weeks to grow from cells. Carnegie Institute of Science astronomer Scott Sheppard and his team used the Subaru telescope in Hawaii to find the moons. The Event Horizon Telescope is also described as a " virtual Earth-sized telescope". "On the whole, China's space technology still lags behind the West, but with the landing on the far side of the moon, we have raced to the front", said Hou Xiyun, a professor at Nanjing University's school of astronomy and space science. ISRO mentioned in its statement , "The Vikram Lander successfully separated from Chandrayaan-2 Orbiter at 1315 Hrs IST today (September 02, 2019)". The exact landing site free of hazards would be decided based on pictures of the area captured and sent back by Vikram's onboard camera. But now the orbiter and the rover-lander will be controlled separately, making it the first time that the system on-board the indigenously developed lander will operate on its own. (more...)

NASA's InSight lander has detected more than 100 vibrations on Mars to date, 21 of which are strongly considered to be marsquakes , according to a release of NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) on Tuesday.
