The association of the full Moon from January was made with the howling wolves that were heard long ago on the winter Moons. That also makes Saturday's full moon a blue moon . This weekend's full moon won't shine with a blueish tint. "In very rare circumstances, the Moon can appear blue, but in this case it is a colour added to the Moon by viewing it through a haze of dust particles in our atmosphere, perhaps from a recent volcanic eruption". Victor Vescovo journeyed 10,927 meters (35,853 feet) to the bottom of the Challenger Deep, the southern end of the Pacific Ocean's Mariana Trench, as part of a mission to chart the world's deepest underwater places. The Mariana Trench is deeper than Mount Everest is tall. Sir David Attenborough, a naturalist and wildlife campaigner, reacted to Vescovo's unsavory find at the bottom of the Mariana Trench by calling plastic in the sea an "unfolding catastrophe" that we "ignore at our peril". Scientists on the verge of creating 100 percent recyclable plastic Scientists on the verge of creating 100 percent recyclable plastic
- May 10, 2019

Even the most recyclable plastic , PET - or poly (ethylene terephthalate) - is only recycled at a rate of 20-30%, with the rest typically going to incinerators or landfills, where the carbon-rich material takes centuries to decompose. "To our surprise, they were the original monomers", Helms said. The researchers believe that their new recyclable plastic could be a good alternative to many nonrecyclable plastics in use today.
