Israeli spacecraft crashes onto moon Israeli spacecraft crashes onto moon
- April 18, 2019

It seems that a failure in our inertial measurements unit caused a chain of events in the spacecraft avionics which cut off the engines and caused us to lose the mission . The children, some wearing white and blue spacesuits, appeared confused as the crash unfolded. "Israel made it to the moon, and Beresheet's journey hasn't ended", said Israeli billionaire Morris Kahn , one of the project's major sponsors. (more...)

Since then, telescopes in France and island are additional to the worldwide network. Black holes are notoriously hard to see, their gravity is so extreme that nothing, not even light, can escape across the boundary at a black hole edge. "It could have been just a blob", she explained, adding that the black hole has a "size that is consistent with other measurements that had been done completely differently". (more...)

NASA hires SpaceX to help it crash an asteroid NASA hires SpaceX to help it crash an asteroid
- April 14, 2019

As the DART mission will launch on a Falcon 9 rocket , it's a relatively cheaper price compared to past NASA contracts for Falcon 9 launches. The amount of the contract for SpaceX will be $ 69 million. An on-board camera and autonomous navigation software will assist in the strike, which hypothetically should shift the orbiting asteroid a fraction of 1%, but enough to be measured using telescopes from Earth. The Roadster is thought to be on the other side of the sun from us right now, about three-quarters of the way around its first solar orbit, said senior analyst at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California, Jon Giorgini. But even more spectacularly, all three stages of the rocket successfully returned to Earth just minutes after launch, proving the Flacon Heavy's reliability. (more...)

Mark provided a baseline for observation on Earth, and Scott provided a comparable test case during the 340 days he spent in space aboard the International Space Station for Expeditions 43, 44, 45 and 46. -He experienced some chromosomal instability that might reflect radiation exposure in space. Astronauts in space are also exposed to higher levels of radiation without the Earth's atmosphere there to act as a filter. (more...)

Elon Musk's SpaceX Falcon Heavy launched from NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida carrying a satellite into orbit for Saudi Arabian company Arabsat. The Falcon Heavy is the most powerful rocket at work today. Landing a rocket booster back on the ground so it can be refurbished is one thing, but recovering other parts of the spacecraft, such as the nosecone fairing, helps to boost SpaceX's bottom line even more.
