Apart from the organic evidences, Curiosity also found abnormal levels of methane in the atmosphere of Mars . It previously found hints of methane and organic compounds, but these findings are the best evidence yet. Despite the fact that it is still not clear how these molecules were created, NASA emphasized that these kinds of particles could have been the food source for hypothetical microbial life on Mars . They observed the trackways, which were not regular, and after analyzing their characteristics, they reached the conclusion that these were formed by bilaterian animals with paired appendages. While science has previously recorded that bilaterian animals, such as arthropods and annelid worms, first emerged during the " Cambrian Explosion " (541 to 510 million years ago), this finding proves that these creatures actually evolved earlier, confirming the suspicion shared by some researchers. The mini testing labs built into the core of NASA's Curiosity rover are back up and running, testing rock samples collected by its newly functional drill. However, the rover had to pass one more hurdle and move the rock powder from its drill into its internal lab. So far, results have been promising and mission control has even ordered Curiosity to return to old sites that it visited while the drill was unserviceable. (more...)

Park officials said that, at one point, people were less than 15 feet from the bison. When the animal crossed the boardwalk, the bison became agitated and charged the crowd, goring Hancock.
