Earlier, an advisor to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan wrote that Turkish forces, "together with the Free Syrian Army", a military formation Damascus considers to be a terrorist group, would "cross the Turkish-Syrian border shortly" for an anti-terrorist operation. Twitter today revealed it may have misappropriated its users private info by giving it to advertisers. Twitter said this was a bug, and not something it meant to do. Something similar happened a year ago when, as Gizmodo's Kashmir Hill discovered, Facebook built complex advertising profiles for all its users containing everything from their two-factor authentication phone numbers to info harvested from their friends' profiles.
