Leadsom has issued a European intervention notice, calling for a report from the British Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) by October 29 to determine whether Cobham , the maker of air-to-air refueling equipment, should be sold. We will continue to engage constructively and cooperatively with the United Kingdom government in this part of their review'. Global economic growth will slow to 2.9% in 2019, compared with an earlier forecast for growth of 4%, the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development said in a report . The 2020 forecast was cut by 0.3 percentage points to 2.0 per cent. The organisation dimmed its outlook for United States growth, predicting it would slow to 2.4% this year and 2% in 2020. (more...)
