U.S. officials have warned Turkey could face possible sanctions and a block on its participation in the US-made F-35 fighter jet programme because of the Russian deal. The United States and other North Atlantic Treaty Organisation allies who own F-35 fighter jets fear the radar on the Russian S-400 missile system will learn how to spot and track the F-35, making it less able to evade Russian weapons in the future. U.S. trade deficit dropped more than expected in January as China boosted purchases of soybeans, leading to a rebound in exports after three straight monthly declines. "Trade subtracted an average of 0.3 percentage points per quarter from growth past year because domestic supply could not keep up with demand pumped up by the tax cuts, but that kick is now fading", he said. Since then, the airline had suspended several destinations , cut its fleet in half, and reduced its workforce . A report by a governmental work group has warned that a WOW Air bankruptcy would lead to a drop in Iceland's gross domestic product, a drop in the value of the krona and rising inflation. (more...)

They didn't win the big jackpot, but a group of winners from a New Hampshire business plans to claim a $1 million Powerball prize.
