McDonald’s said Friday, June 15, 2018 it will switch to paper straws at all its locations in the United Kingdom and Ireland, and test an alternative to plastic ones in some of its US restaurants later this year. Even before the national plastic ban, companies were moving to use more eco-friendly products, though the acquisition of these products was not necessarily sustainable. (more...)

Tesla can ill afford manufacturing setbacks now. Tesla is now ramping up production to make its previously stated goal of 5,000 Model 3s per week by the end of June. (more...)

As per a report by The Guardian, Mary McCormack, the wife of producer and director Michael Morris also confirmed that the vehicle was not running on autopilot at the time and it was a normal Tesla. "Our initial investigation shows that the cabin of the vehicle was totally unaffected by the fire due to our battery architecture, which is created to protect the cabin in the very rare event that a battery fire occurs". American Airlines confirmed it was experiencing another technical issue with PSA, but had yet to elaborate on what that means. Flights have been canceled until Monday at noon. Customers stuck in Charltote were provided with hotel vouchers and Charlotte residents were reimbursed for their canceled flights. Flight Aware, a website that tracks the status of flights across the country, reported a ground stop for all flights coming into Charlotte until 3 p.m. (more...)
