The RCPD hosted a drug take-back event at its headquarters and Town Center Mall for four hours for Drug Take-Back Day, a joint event with the Drug Enforcement Administration. In the previous 13 Take-Back events, the DEA and law enforcement partners have collected more than 8.1 million pounds of pills across the country. The FDA advises to avoid eating large amounts of black licorice , and if you suffer from irregular heart rhythm or muscle weakness after eating the candy, stop immediately. "Many "licorice" or "licorice flavor" products manufactured in the United States do not contain any licorice", the FDA reported. The drugs were found by a mother whose child had been trick-or-treating on the Menominee Indian Reservation, located about an hour outside of Green Bay. Police in the area are investigating and asking parents to pay close attention to anything that looks suspicious. With all this is a worrying backslide: Youths today are using nicotine products at an increasing rate for the first time since the 1960's. Researchers collected information from 95,242 mothers, 75,217 fathers and 112,973 children born between 1999 and 2009, including 2,245 who had been diagnosed with ADHD . But the large size of the data set shows the need for careful consideration of acetaminophen use during pregnancy. A group of Japanese researchers figured out a way to use AI to identify early colorectal cancer tumors, before they became malignant and much more harmful, Engadget reports . In a trial, the AI system was able to identify potentially unsafe tumours from endoscopy images with clinical accuracy. She further explained, "This allows the complete resection of adenomatous (cancerous) polyps and prevents unnecessary polypectomy (removal) of non-neoplastic polyps". (more...)
