The city-state of 5.7 million expects to have enough vaccines for everyone by the third quarter of 2021, Lee added, and will make it free for all Singaporeans and long-term residents. Lee said Singapore would further ease local pandemic-related curbs on December 28, allowing gatherings of up to eight people and up to 250 people to attend public worship or live arts and cultural performances. Since October , travelers from New Zealand have been allowed quarantine-free travel to certain Australian destinations, but they still have to quarantine when they return home. NPHET is reporting that there have been 59 new cases of Covid-19 in Longford in the past two weeks. Three new deaths were also recorded on Sunday, with the first death being a 68-year-old man who was confirmed positive on 1 December. (more...)

The limit on gatherings will be lowered from 25 to 10 people and masks will now be required outdoors when social distancing isn't possible. The modified order will remain in effect until at least January 31, 2021, Northam announced. Mask wearing is also being expanded, requiring all people over the age of 5 to wear a mask when outside of their home, even if outdoors. However, the governor is not imposing additional restrictions on houses of worship as part of the new slate of restrictions, ... (more...)
