People who return from countries which are not on the travel corridor list should also self-isolate for 10 days instead of 14 days. Most of the 737 new cases recorded across B.C. on Friday were found in the Lower Mainland. There are 342 individuals now hospitalized with COVID-19, 87 of whom are in intensive care. The team consists of two critical care paramedics, one advanced care paramedic and one primary care paramedic, a group EHS describes as an "ideal resource" for a small community experiencing a large number of positive COVID-19 tests. The prescribing instructions don't preclude use of the vaccine in pregnant women or women who are breastfeeding, but they say that there isn't enough information to assess the effects of the vaccine or its risks under those circumstances. In their short-term forecasting, health officials say Canada may see 531,300 to 577,000 cases and 14,410 to 14,920 deaths by December 25.
