This year, the flu shot is more important than ever as COVID-19 remains active statewide. City officials, however, have pointed out that residents can still get a flu shot at their doctor's office or a participating pharmacy. Providence will offer a free drive-thru flu shot clinic starting at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Spokane Teaching Health Clinic. The Public Health Department vaccinated nearly 4,000 people with the events. There have been 1,698 school-related cases reported across 514 schools since September. She noted that COVID-19 is "a life threatening thrombotic disorder", meaning it causes blood to thicken and clot, and the primary objective of giving people plasma infusions is to treat acute bleeding and bleeding disorders - conditions in which it would be good if blood thickened.
