People who survive serious COVID-19 infections have long-lasting immune responses against the virus, according to a new study led by researchers at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH). The S protein-specific IgG responses on the other hand, decayed slowly over a period of 90 days, with only 3 individuals losing them within this timeframe. (more...)

This announcement comes as Ontario reported 939 new infections this morning. The Ontario government is taking steps to try to get a handle on the spread of COVID-19 in a few hot spots in the province. There have been 5,271 total lab-confirmed cases in Ottawa, and 4,005 are considered resolved. In the city, 875 cases remain active, but resolved cases are now at 3,978. (more...)

This brings the new total up to 1,881 for the region since March. In the Outaouais, there were 53 new cases reported, the highest one-day total since the 66 cases reported Monday. the previous day.
