There are now 159 people hospitalised with Covid-19, including 25 in ICU. Some 218 of the new cases were in Dublin with 63 in cork, 60 in Donegal, 35 in Galway and 31 in Kildare. Public health officials warned last night that Covid-19 cases could exceed 1,000 a day in a matter of weeks, as we are now in a period of exponential growth. (more...)

Patients who had encephalopathy had a higher death rate than those without as well. For a disease like COVID-19, it can be hard to untangle whether the virus or its treatment is causing neurologic issues.
