Evidence of animal to human transmission via the bites or scratches of cats, wolves, jackals, mongoose and monkeys have been found in the country but bat rabies has not been conclusively reported. If you have reason to believe that you, someone you know, or your pets have come into contact with an animal you believe has rabies or another animal that potentially has rabies, please call your local DHEC Environmental Affairs Office during normal business hours. Her name is Helen Alvare. One of the late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg's favorite cases was an obscure case that originated in chancery court in rural Benton County in north Mississippi. McDuff told Mississippi Today said he had always heard that the Benton County case was one of Ginsburg's favorites and said he was pleased when he read the New York Times obituary validating her fondness for the case. At 4 p.m., Johns Hopkins University reported 7,104,943 COVID-19 cases in the United States. The number of Covid 19 cases in Ireland has risen by 430 in the latest figures released this evening. In addition, 33 are under domestic traveler quarantine for having arrived to Chautauqua County from a state listed on the NY state travel advisory. Of today's figures, some 209 cases were confirmed in Dublin which is now under Level 3 restrictions. (more...)

According to the CDC website, the first deaths from naegleria fowleri found in tap water from treated USA public drinking water systems occurred in southern Louisiana in 2011 and 2013. The advisory is reportedly still in effect until the authority's water system has been flushed and deemed safe to be use again after water samples prove it is safe. (more...)
