The WHO is in the midst of rounding up support for a global coalition, called the ACT Accelerator, in the hope of fairly distributing vaccines, treatments and diagnostics for the new coronavirus to rich and poor countries alike. No details about the patient suffering the potential side-effect, or the nature of the reaction, were given. The same suspension applied to 'Students who attend an unsafe gathering, social or party, either on or off-campus'. He said he was "absolutely" expecting students to limit themselves to parties of six during freshers week, saying: "Obviously it is not something I would want to do, but unfortunately, yes, because otherwise we know the spread of the disease is going to keep going up and up". There are two indigenous vaccines being developed by Zydus Cadila and Bharat Biotech in collaboration with the Indian Council of Medical Research. "The flu vaccine absolutely-without a doubt-does not cause the flu". Younger children in New York City, Rhode Island, and CT are already required to receive a flu shot before enrolling in many child care programs. (more...)

The updated advisory on Covid-19 testing strategy has also allowed testing on demand for "all individuals undertaking travel to countries or Indian states mandating a negative Covid-19 test at the point of entry". In hospital settings, COVID test is recommended for all patients of Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (SARI), all symptomatic (ILI symptoms) patients presenting in a health care setting, all asymptomatic high-risk patients who are hospitalised or seeking immediate hospitalisation ... The police stated that after her test results came back positive, she was being taken to a COVID-19 hospital along with another patient in a hospital, After dropping the other patient, Noufal took the victim to a lonely place and sexually assaulted her.
