There have been no new deaths reported to the Health Protection Surveillance Centre today . Validation of data at the HPSC has resulted in the denotification of 2 confirmed cases, which is reflected in the national total. This compares with the 560 recorded by the Department of Health. It has been a very hard time for many and few have been left untouched in some way by the negative effects of this pandemic. (more...)

In a new study from South Korea, 22% of pediatric coronavirus cases were asymptomatic while the remaining 78% either had symptoms when they were tested or developed them after diagnosis. Three children had asthma and three had epilepsy, but no other comorbid conditions or immunodeficiencies were reported. The study also showed that children can have a cluster of symptoms including sore throat, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhoea and rash alongside already-recognised COVID-19 ... (more...)

Amazon says privacy is "foundational" to Halo, and that it has multiple layers of privacy and security built-in. But points can also be eliminated if the wearer sits too long. NSW declared 9 new instances of coronavirus since the Sydney CBD bunch develops and new health alarms are issued. Further investigations have found one case reported on Friday is also linked to that cluster. All of the new cases were locally acquired; five are linked to the new Sydney CBD cluster, and four are close contacts of previous cases. A positive Covid-19 also attended the Caringbah Hotel, in Sydney's south, on August 22 between 8:30pm and 11:30pm. (more...)
