Rome's Lazzaro Spallanzani institute, a hospital specializing in infectious diseases will conduct trials on 90 volunteers over the coming weeks, with the hope a vaccine may be available by spring of next year. The 69,878 new infections, the fourth straight day above 60,000, took India's total cases to 2.98 million, behind only the USA and Brazil. Bernalillo County, with a total of 5,601 cases, accounts for about 23% of the state's total. The state now has a total of 24,396 cases, with 11,539 recoveries.
