The county has averaged about 11 new cases per day over the last 14 days, according to a 14-day moving average graph updated weekdays by the health department. The teenage girl had underlying medical conditions, the county's health department said in a news release. The number of new cases today is higher than the rolling 21-day average of daily cases, which is 1,066. (more...)

The province tested more than 9,000 people for COVID-19 on Tuesday, meaning around 0.9 per cent of those tests produced positive results. They investigated further and found that some of the children with the new diagnosis of diabetes had active coronavirus infection or had antibodies showing they had been infected in the past. "We suspect COVID-19 may be behaving in a similar manner and triggering some of these children to develop diabetes". The updated figures from Health Minister Adrian Dix and Dr. Today, we have the ability to complete approximately 8,000 tests every day.
