For the Clover trial, 150 human volunteers are expected to be enrolled to test the safety and immunogenicity of its COVID-19 S-Trimer subunit vaccine candidate. As such, the Imperial team hopes that come early 2021, the vaccine would be ready to be distributed across the United Kingdom. Covid-19 cases have been rising locally this week. The 45 cases reported Monday and Wednesday were the highest daily totals reported in almost two months. County officials have attributed the high number of cases to the fact people are out and about and traveling. There were no new deaths Tuesday, Dr. Deena Hinshaw said. As of Wednesday, 236 Edmontonians had the disease compared to 188 Calgarians. Edmonton itself has 233 infections, while Calgary has 202. As of June 22nd, Alberta Health Services says all 18 cases are considered recovered.
