The researchers found that genomes might make six percent of those with the blood type more vulnerable. And 7.9% of patients who had stopped taking their blood pressure medications died. Contrary to their expectations, they found that a class of drugs known as RAAS inhibitors - which include angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors (ACE) and angiotensin receptor blockers (ARB) - were not linked to higher COVID-19 mortality. Lewis and Clark Public Health reported two new cases of COVID-19 in the county on Thursday. The results coincide with the decline in the total number of reported coronavirus cases in New Jersey. McHenry County now has had 1,659 cases of COVID-19 and 77 deaths, according to the MCDH.
