As of Tuesday, there are more than 3.6 million confirmed COVID-19 cases across the globe, including 257,239 deaths, according to data from Johns Hopkins University. As the New York Post explains, "a weakened virus that causes less severe symptoms may get a leg up if it is able to spread efficiently through populations by people who don't know they are infected". Police say Liu was inside his home along Elm Court when he was shot multiple times by Hao Gu, 46, of Pittsburgh. Sgt. Brian Kohlhepp told CNN , which reports that investigators believe Gu killed Liu before returning to his vehicle and dying of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. (more...)

According to a report in Science Times , it was found that the vaccine neutralised the novel coronavirus in human cells. He also said that his firm was exploring options with an an American drug company, LineaRx, as well. Dr Bing Liu was working on important coronavirus research. As per the agency, an hour later Liu's body was discovered, a 46-year-old man, Hao Gu was found dead inside a vehicle less than a mile away from the researcher's residence. He had previously worked as a postdoctoral fellow in the department of computer science at Carnegie Mellon University and with Bahar as a research associate in the department of computational and systems biology at University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.
