The mortality rate in the most underprivileged areas of England was 55.1 deaths per 100,000 population, compared to 25.3 deaths per 100,000 in the least deprived areas, analysis published by the Office for National Statistics (ONS) shows. "Without intervention this crisis will be devastating for a whole generation". The Starke County Health Department says it's working with state and local officially to identify and monitor any contacts. Contact investigations are a critical way for staff epidemiologists to track and prevent the spread of disease. The total hospitalizations count is at ten including nine residents and one non-resident. Wright County is up to 48 cases and one death, and Sherburne County has 50 cases and no deaths. (more...)

The Ministry of Long-Term Care daily report states there are 170 outbreaks in long-term care homes, and there have been 2,719 cases confirmed in residents of long-term care facilities as well as 1,594 cases confirmed in staff. There are now outbreaks in 23 long-term care homes, retirement residences, and hospitals, and 463 residents in these facilities have tested positive for the virus. (more...)
