Kawasaki disease , on the other hand, is most commonly seen in children under age five and is characterised by swollen arteries throughout the body that can show up as distinctive skin rashes. According to Spears, the blaze claimed all of her equipment aside from two pieces, as well as the surrounding structure. "I had two lights on and... well, one thing led to another, and I burned it (the gym, red.) down". Oops! She did it again. She went on to reveal that pining for her other half seems to have had an unexpected impact in that she's slimmed down to the point where her clothes no longer fit. (more...)

At this rate, they are looking at 30-40 million doses produced by September or October. Data from this phase of testing could be available from the University's Jenner Institute as early as mid-June. The chief executive of Gilead Sciences Inc, maker of the experimental coronavirus drug remdesivir, said on Friday he expected the Food and Drug Administration to act quickly over the company's application for approval. FDA Commissioner Stephen Hahn, speaking with Trump, said the drug was being cleared for emergency use in hospitalized patients. Like Remdesivir, it's an antiviral drug that was originally developed to treat a different viral disease - on this occasion, malaria. (more...)

Lloydminster, a city on the Saskatchewan-Alberta boundary, is also dealing with an outbreak of 13 cases tied to its hospital, where there has been transmission in both patients and staff. COVID-19 patients will still be admitted to Lloydminster Hospital. He said he has asked for more testing to be done in and around La Loche and the health authority is in process of deploying up to 100 new staff to do the testing and contact tracing. (more...)

Pakistani men are 90 per cent more likely to work in healthcare roles than their White British counterparts and while the Indian ethnic group makes up just 3 per cent of the working age population of England and Wales, they account for 14 per cent of doctors.
