She was very close with her sisters and mother, who lived in Virginia. The symptoms of the condition are "toxic shock syndrome and atypical Kawasaki Disease with blood parameters consistent with severe COVID-19 in children", as well as "Abdominal pain and gastrointestinal symptoms" and "cardiac inflammation". It is still believed that children are less affected by COVID-19, with very few becoming seriously ill and only a small number affected by the inflammatory syndrome. (more...)
