Doctors immediately transferred Skylar back to the Royal Oak campus where she was admitted to the pediatric intensive care unit (ICU). A separate group of researchers at Imperial College London have been testing another potential inoculation candidate in animals since early February. They are looking for volunteers for the vaccine trial. Santa Clara County official Jeff Smith said recently that the virus may have arrived on United States shores as early as December - days after China first identified the pathogen. "Additionally, the Medical Examiner-Coroner has also confirmed that an individual who died in the county on March 6 died of COVID-19". The request to the federal government for additional support will be made today. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is unveiling a $9 billion emergency program aimed at students. It also mentions that China's request for clinical trials and recruitment of test-patients for phase 1 and 2 tests. The estimation is based on figures released by the Office for National Statistics on Tuesday which said the United Kingdom death toll could be 41% higher than originally reported due to deaths outside hospitals.
