Chinese officials have repeatedly defended the accuracy of their data. That brings the total number of deaths in the city to 3,869. High pressure on the city's medical workers to rescue sick patients at the peak of the epidemic also led to many cases being missed, filed late, or misreported. (more...)

Ireland has reported 444 coronavirus-related deaths from a total 12,547 cases, with 245 fatalities associated with nursing homes and 45 more with other care homes. Some 196 of these are in nursing homes - relating to cases among both residents and staff. Coronavirus cases have been recorded in 335 residential care homes in the Republic, the Health Service Executive's Chief Operating Officer has said. (more...)

The age range of confirmed cases in OH is from younger than 1 to age 101; 51% are female and 49% are male. Fifty-one percent are female. It is not even the beginning of the end. DeWine did not provide details on how businesses will reopen, when events will be able to resume or whether children will return to school. "My heart breaks for these people", Ford said. Blood drives may operate but only by using appropriate mitigation efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
