On March 27, President Donald Trump said he would invoke powers under the Defense Production Act to direct manufacturers, including Ford and General Motors Co, to produce ventilators. Following this setup, Ford aims to complete 1,500 ventilators by the end of April, 12,000 by the end of May, 50,000 by July 4-and an additional 30,000 units per month after that, as needed. (more...)
