It has begun the phase 1 clinical trial of an investigational vaccine named mRNA -1273 created to protect against the coronavirus disease, which has already claimed thousands of lives all across the world. Early clinical trial results said that mRNA vaccine can generate a reliable immune response, but its efficacy is still being investigated since the technology is relatively young and there is no vaccine of its kind now on the market. An Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department (AFCD) spokesman said that the department would "closely monitor both dogs and conduct repeated tests on the animals". This would have put it well into the risk demographics for Covid-19 if it was a human, which perhaps explains why the owner was anxious enough to have it tested after she herself fell ill with the disease. Recently the National Fraud Intelligence Bureau ( NFIB ) reported a new trend in fraud related to Coronavirus , or COVID-19. Action Fraud has also received over 200 reports of coronavirus-themed phishing emails. One of the most frequent is calls about having air ducts or filters cleaned. Some are posing as the US Centre for Disease Control or the World Health Organization , and even Public Health Canada telling people that they've tested positive for the virus . (more...)
