DEP's program says they capture and sample mosquitoes statewide and there have been two positive West Nile Virus tests in Montour County, one was in Danville, the other in Mahoning Township. Symptoms of West Nile include fever, headache, body aches, joint pains, vomiting, diarrhea or rash. Transmission of West Nile virus can be avoided by preventing mosquito bites, the only know route of transmission. (more...)

The Aedes atlanticus reportedly is a very common mosquito of Florida and is an associate of the insect which is known to carry the Zika virus . It's not supposed to be capable of living in humans.
