10 to 20 mm of rain for Waterloo region and Wellington County

The initial band of rain from an area of thunderstorms that has since weakened is approaching from northern IN and Ohio. Rain is expected to continue on Tuesday and Tuesday night as the warm front stalls just to the north of the region. The latest estimates suggest that 10 to 20 mm of rain is expected between Monday evening and Tuesday morning. Periods of rain will continue through Tuesday and into Wednesday. (more...)

In Christchurch, a city still rebuilding following a devastating natural disaster in 2011, the council said the wastewater system was "coming under pressure due to infiltration and inflow from the rain during the storm". There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the rocket, but Israel maintains a policy of holding Hamas, which rules Gaza, responsible.
