"The use of chemical weapons by all parties in Syria must unequivocally stop", it said. The Syrian government has denied using chemical weapons. Lim was quick to get to the front and he avoided any drama to cross the line first in an Olympic record time of two minutes 10.485secs. He brought the first medal to the team of Olympic Athletes from Russian Federation. His teammate Hwang Dae-heon fell during the final and couldn't finish the race and while Seo Yi-ra failed to advance to the final. The 19-year-old set a new Olympic record in her 500m heat to progress to next week's quarter-finals. (more...)
