Sandra Louis Garner, 55, from Maypearl near Dallas, was arrested on Wednesday, Jan. 10 in connection with the murder of her husband, Jon Garner, 42, the Midlothian Mirror reported. One device, authorities said belonged to Garner, contained an internet search for " how to kill someone and not get caught ". Police later analyzed electronic devices in the home and discovered Sandra Garner's telling online search. (more...)

The first crash of the morning killed 27-year-old Mercedes B. Britton of Jacksonville. FHP said all lanes are blocked. The accident happened just after 5 a.m. Deputies warn that traffic was backed up for miles and drivers need to use caution once the road reopens. Louanne Pontecorvo, 59, was pronounced dead at the scene after her Ford escape ran into the back of a semi-tractor trailer that was stopped at a traffic light just before 10 p.m., Highway Patrol said in a news release.
