Nebraska's unemployment rate dropped ever so slightly last month. There were 33,000 more unemployed people in MA in July 2017 than in the same month a year ago, when the unemployment rate was 3.6 percent, labor officials said. They fell in 15 states and rose in 23, but numerous changes were statistically insignificant. The state's unemployment rate remained steady at 4.3 percent in July, matching the national rate for the first time in almost a decade. (more...)

Six civilians and one police officer were hurt when a vehicle drove into people in the Spanish seaside resort of Cambrils early on Friday, the regional government said , just hours after a similar deadly attack in nearby Barcelona. Police said the two men detained yesterday had been arrested in two towns, Ripoll and Alcanar, both in the region of Catalonia, of which Barcelona is the capital. (more...)
