As it turned out, the driver of the crashed vehicle was also a law enforcement officer, police said. Maryland State Police said the driver of that vehicle swerved to avoid hitting vehicles in one lane and ended up hitting the officers. The driver and one passenger in the auto that struck the officers were also taken to Suburban Hospital, while a second passenger was taken to Shady Grove Hospital. (more...)

The Federal Bureau of Investigation is investigating the Cuomo administration's hiring practices, a spokesman for Gov. Andrew Cuomo confirmed to the New York Law Journal on Friday.
