Dr. Ayman Ashmawy, head of the ancient Egyptian antiquities sector at the Ministry of Antiquities, hailed the discovery as " very important ". He further explains that "the first tomb is composed of a perpendicular burial shaft engraved in the rock and leads to a burial chamber containing four sarcophagi with anthropoid lids". (more...)

The briefing by the National Economic Development Authority ( NEDA ) cited growth in household consumption at 5.9 percent, while government consumption increased by 7.1 percent from 0.1 percent, which showed a marked improvement in the absorptive capacity of government agencies. Chase suspect plunges to his death after climb up crane in California

The driver at one point stuck his head out the window and appeared to speak with police officials. As of shortly before 9 p.m., the man remained on top of the crane tower in a standoff with police. Just before climbing the crane, the suspect led officers in a chase in an allegedly stolen vehicle. By nightfall, the man had stripped off and thrown his clothes from the crane. (more...)

A strong wind producer up to 40 miles per hour can't be ruled out along with risky lightning and locally heavy rainfall. The weather looks good for the kick off of the high school football season Friday evening. The threat of tornadoes is low, but it does exist, according to the National Weather Service. Showers on Friday should stay away from most of us, with just a slight chance in our North and West Zones. (more...)

Though local officials downplayed any threat and Secretary of State Rex Tillerson was unruffled as he headed to Guam to refuel on his trip back to Washington from Malaysia, people who live and work on the island said they could no longer shrug off the idea of being a potential target.
