A fight at Burnsville High School on Wednesday left one student injured and several others in police custody. It happened during a lunch break just outside the school's main office, and police said many students saw what happened. After investigating, a 16-year-old was arrested for threats of terrorism, a felony. Another faculty staff member was privately transported to Beebe Walk-In-Care where he was treated and released for a knee injury. (more...)

Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Saqib Nisar on Thursday dismissed former prime minister Nawaz Sharif's in-chamber appeal to merge three references filed by the National Accountability Bureau [NAB]. If any tax plan is to be signed into law by the president, the House and Senate tax plans will eventually need to be worked into one joint proposal, and it is not yet clear if that bill would include the health care requirement. More than 50 people were reportedly injured in in rare 5.4-magnitude quake that struck the southeastern city of Pohang on Wednesday afternoon, damaging buildings, breaking windows and sending people running from homes. More than 1,000 houses and dozens of other buildings and cars were damaged or destroyed, and cracks and other damage were found in military facilities, bridges, port facilities and water supply facilities.
