A BBC reporter at the scene says many people may have been asleep when the mudslide occurred. "It is likely that hundreds are lying dead underneath the rubble", Vice President Victor Foh said, local media reported. Fatmata Sesay, who lives on the hilltop area of Juba, said she, her three children and husband were awoken at 4:30 am by rain beating down on the mud house they occupy, which was by then submerged by water. Peter Madsen's submarine, the Nautilus, was sighted just north of the ├śresund Bridge near the island of Saltholm in the early hours of Friday morning, it has emerged. Copenhagen police suspect that Madsen deliberately sunk the submarine though he initially blamed technical problems.
