Speaking on the court's decision, Honeypreet's lawyer S.K. Garg Narwana said it is unfair of the police to ask for extension of Honeypreet's remand as she has already been interrogated for six days. Mumbai: An enquiry committee constituted by the Indian Railways to look into the causes of Elphinstone Road station stampede on September 29 has said that heavy rains and rumours caused the stampede . The probe panel made recommendations that passengers should avoid carrying heavy luggage during peak hours. Among the major suggestions to avoid any such situation in the future are restricting the movement of commuters, mainly vendors, carrying baskets stuffed with goods during peak hours. (more...)

Donald Trump will not sleep at Buckingham Palace as the guest of the Queen. Sources have told the Evening Standard that no date has yet been fixed but the working visit is planned for early in 2018. It was created in response to Mr Trump's executive order to enforce a Muslim ban, which led thousands of people to protest in London. Trump reportedly informed May in June that he wanted to delay the visit due to the risk of protests. (more...)
