Those lucky winners walked the stage and gave a fist bump to GABF founder Charlie Papazian as they accepted their awards. Winners were chosen out of 7,923 competition entries from 2,217 breweries in 50 states plus Washington, D.C. Sheehan's Stout from Rockford Brewing Co .in Rockford was given the silver in Classic Irish-Style Dry Stout. Drinking with Friends, an American Wild Ale from Mraz Brewing Co.in El Dorado Hills, came in third in the Belgian-style Lambic or Sour Ale category. (more...)

We'll catch a break from the rain for a few hours around the middle of the day then a second rain band will move in this afternoon with more tropical downpours and a rumble of thunder. A judge in MI has granted parental rights to a man who allegedly raped his 8-year-old son's mother. The judge even revealed the victim's home address to Mirasolo and ordered his name be added to the child's birth certificate. This is believed to be the first case of its kind in MI. According to WBAL , Doran got onto the front of the bus, clinging to the hood and mirror as the driver pulled away. "Open the door", he says, pointing at the driver. Investigators said that until they can find probable cause, McNabb is only a person of interest in his daughter's death. "I want my kid back, man". However, it now appears that further investigation has found evidence of Russian-bought election ads on YouTube, Google Search, Gmail and the company's DoubleClick ad network ... Others were about the United States immigration policy, an apparent attempt to promote division among the American people. A vehicle mounted the pavement and collided with pedestrians in one of the capital's busiest tourist areas on Saturday afternoon, but police doused concerns it was a terrorist attack. The man was allegedly caught robbing the house of Malviya Nagar resident Krishna Kumar early in hours of September 24.
