The officers were conscious following the shootings, authorities tell CBS Connecticut . Hartman says the officers, identified as Eric Pesino and Scott Shumway, sustained injuries to the arm that aren't considered life-threatening. Both are expected to recover. Geological Survey. The U.S. Geological Survey says the new natural disaster to strike Mexico had a magnitude of 6.2 and was centered in the southern state of Oaxaca. However it sparked concern that it could have caused heavy rubble on top of survivors awaiting rescue in Mexico City to shift.
