Before arriving at the USA territories, Hurricane Maria went directly over the island of Dominica , while also almost making landfall in Guadaloupe. Governor Rosselló said officials were bracing for the " worst hurricane in modern history in Puerto Rico". Maria has caused at least 10 deaths across the Caribbean , including seven in the hard-hit island of Dominica and two in the French Caribbean territory of Guadeloupe. (more...)

Earlier an 18-year-old teenager was arrested in the departure area of the port of Dover in connection with the attack on Saturday morning. Information on Farroukh emerged as the United Kingdom government reduced the official terror threat level from critical, meaning an attack is expected imminently, to severe, suggesting an attack is highly likely. In a meeting with International Olympic Committee (IOC) President Thomas Bach, Moon said South Korea has always hosted global sports events successfully despite being technically at war with the North, according to a South Korean presidential official. While authorities tried their best to save the beast by trying to scare off the Bengal tigers, due to the fight, the white tiger lost its life. BBP director Santosh Kumar said the tiger died of shock. "We had put workers who are outsourced to operate gates of zoo enclosures". While the nine-year-old white tiger, Shreyas, succumbed to his injuries, which were quite severe, the other got away with minor wounds and is being treated. (more...)

Shane, who shared custody of Nelly with her mother, said he saw police activity when he came to pick her up on the day of the accident. Tampa police are investigating but say they have no reason to doubt the family's version of events. The girl's father told the Tampa Bay Times he had Nelly when he was still in high school and his parents have been helping raise the girl. According to the obituary her family wrote, she also loved playing with her puppy, watching the cartoon ... (more...)

The Marines first opened the Infantry Officer Course to women on an experimental basis in 2012, allowing them to attempt it as a part of broader research across the Defense Department examining how to integrate all-male units.
