Four dead after fireworks factory explosion in Turkey

Smoke billows from a fire following an explosion at a fireworks factory outside the town of Hendek, Sakarya province, northwestern Turkey, Friday July 3, 2020. But the local mayor said many of them had managed to escape the blasts, which began at around 11:15 (08:15GMT). The factory reportedly stored 110 tons of fireworks in its warehouse at the time of the extraordinary detonation. (more...)

The government also hopes it should mean that any Brit visiting the countries - the full list of which will be revealed later today - will be able to do so without the need to isolate when they arrive in the opposite direction. The exempted countries and territories will be kept under constant review, so that if the health risks increase self-isolation measures can be re-introduced to help stop the spread of the disease into England. Dr. Tedros again called on countries to come together. Lashing out at Pakistan, the MEA said, "India rejects the absurd comments of the Foreign Minister of Pakistan on the terrorist attack in Karachi ". "Checking at all entry and exit points and important junctions within the city has been increased and citizens have been told to cooperate with the police", said the reports while quoting Khan. The battered bodies of more than 160 jade miners were pulled from a sea of mud after a landslide in northern Myanmar yesterday, after one of the worst-ever accidents to hit the treacherous industry. I still have goose bumps ... Rescuers worked all morning to retrieve the bodies from a mud lake, pulling them to the surface and using tyres as makeshift rafts. (more...)
