The Alberta government's decision to pause the trial mirrors that of the World Health Organization , which on Monday announced it would drop hydroxychloroquine from its ongoing global study on experimental COVID-19 treatments. As said by Dr Mike Ryan, the head of the World Health Organization emergencies programme, this decision to stop hydroxychloroquine trials was taken as a precautionary measure. (more...)

Police had issued an arrest warrant for Shinji Aoba at the time of the fire but had been unable to question him after he suffered serious burns in the blaze at Kyoto Animation . Suffering severe burns, Aoba is transferred from hospital in Kyoto to another hospital in Osaka. People injured in a fire are treated near a Kyoto Animation building in Kyoto, western Japan. "The unnecessary actions of the Russian Su-35 pilots were inconsistent with good airmanship and worldwide flight rules, and jeopardized the safety of flight of both aircraft", the Navy added. Putin had been forced to postpone the massive May 9 parade in mid-April because of risks from the coronavirus pandemic. Pamfilova said in the interview with Rossiskaya Gazeta that the election commission was working off the assumption that Putin would name the date for the new vote one month in advance. (more...)

However, the bear may have disrupted the family hike but could not hamper Alessandro's courage. "I noticed that he was moving and I told him (Alessandro) to walk slowly, to be careful, that I will take a picture but to move", Calliari said. (more...)
