Roscovich was reported missing on September 12 at 9 p.m., six days after her last sighting, when she said she was heading down Vancouver Island to seek medical treatment, according to the RCMP . Her vehicle was found near the Quadra Ferry Terminal so it's believed there's a good chance she's on Quadra or Cortes. In the Atlantic, Hurricane Jose was far from land but generating powerful swells that the center said were affecting coastal areas in Bermuda, the Bahamas, Puerto Rico, Hispaniola and the US southeast. Congolese security forces killed at least 18 Burundian refugees during clashes over plans to send some of them home, local activists and a diplomatic source said. Reuters TV footage showed more than 30 bodies covered by sheets on the roadside in Kamanyola, with many more wounded also lying in the street. Gov. Rick Scott's office released a statement Friday, saying the Rehabilitation Center at Hollywood Hills had not reported that conditions at its facility had become risky for patients. Workers at the facility got more portable air conditioners from a nearby hospital, the facility's timeline says.
